College students should have a part-time job

In global era, everyone need more than just a degree to get a job. But, they need an experience. Working during college, even in a position that is not directly related with field of study, will gave an edge over other applicants for college students. Work experience also shows that they have had some real-world, adult experiences and that they can handle themselves outside of the classroom and off campus. There are some advantages of a part-time job for college students. First of all, students who do an extra job will get an extra money. They can use it to buy something based on their needs. Moreover, they might ask to their parents to reduce their pocket money because the wage is sufficient to afford their needs. Secondly, few companies do not need well versed people in certain skills such as in engineering, education, and accounting. As an example, a mechanical-engineering student who has a part-time job in a workshop certainly has more experiences and knowledge than other students who have no job. In addition, in that workshop he is demanded to work with other workers as one team that can improve his skills in team work. And the last advantage is that the students can practice what they have learnt at the college. For example, a biology student can practice how to teach biology when he/she is being a biology’ tutor. Some people thing that part-time job can be an obstacle for students’ study. But I think, they are still be able to manage their time and will not too busy with it. Finally, I concur that a college student should have a part-time job, because it has good impact for them!
